INGREDIENTS
1 cup almonds
filtered water
dates/vanilla essence (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place 1 cup of almonds in a glass bowl and add enough water to cover them
- Soak the almonds in water for 24-48 hours
- After 24-48 hours, drain and rinse the almonds
- Then add almonds and two cups of water together in a blender
- Blend for 2 minutes +/- 2 minutes
- Using a cheesecloth/muslin cloth or nut milk bag, strain out the almonds
- Press out almond milk from meal (through the nut milk bag)
- Sweeten to taste (try using a dash of vanilla essence or one date)
- Enjoy! Keep refrigerated for up to three days.
