INGREDIENTS

1 cup almonds

filtered water

dates/vanilla essence (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Place 1 cup of almonds in a glass bowl and add enough water to cover them
  • Soak the almonds in water for 24-48 hours
  • After 24-48 hours, drain and rinse the almonds
  • Then add almonds and two cups of water together in a blender
  • Blend for 2 minutes +/- 2 minutes
  • Using a cheesecloth/muslin cloth or nut milk bag, strain out the almonds
  • Press out almond milk from meal (through the nut milk bag)
  • Sweeten to taste (try using a dash of vanilla essence or one date)
  • Enjoy! Keep refrigerated for up to three days.
